What would you advise your cousin? He was laid off, had surgery, unemployed, waiting on unemployment...?

He is behind on his truck payment. Has ten payments totaling $3,500, and it is paid for; just got word his truck insurance expired. He is worried the truck will be reposed then he won't have a way to find work.What would you advise your cousin? He was laid off, had surgery, unemployed, waiting on unemployment...?
No degree no safety. Like my Dad always said: I don't care what job you get, but you are staying in University for atleast 5 years.
