Noooooo! either, Leave it in the sink and let it defrost or for quicker defrosting, leave it in a bowl of cold water and change the water every 30 mins.
Defrosting in microwave should be okay as long as it is advised on the packaging
You don't defrost chicken kievs. You put them straight in the oven Gas mark 6 400F 200C for approx 40 mins. Or refer to packaging.

Just cook from frozen!! About 45 minutes at 200 degrees
I do, then cook them, cuts down on the cooking time!!
yes if really unsure have something else and leave out over night but it is safe dont worry
I defrost lots of thing in the microwave you are not supposed to. I have never had a prob. At the end of the day you need to make sure that the food is cooked.
er, shouldnt there be defrosting instructions on the pack? its probably safe, but may taste disgusting when you cook it, i find that sometimes the ';defrost'; mechanisms do actually cook the things to a certain extent.....
