Replace Butter With Cream Cheese - Please Advise?

Are they both equal fats? I have a pound cake asking for 1lb of butter but I wanted to use half lb of cream cheese - to create more moisture and density. Will that work?Replace Butter With Cream Cheese - Please Advise?
well it all depends on what ur aiming for. because a serving size of ';PHILEDELHIA'; cream cheese has about 90 calories, but ';i cant believe its not butter'; has 70. if u want less Sat. Fat try the cream cheese it only has 5 but the butter has 7.Replace Butter With Cream Cheese - Please Advise?
use the cream cheese
It will defitly make it more dense. And no that fat content is not the same.

Read the labels on both and see if they are close.
Cream cheese is not a ';fat';. A ';fat'; is oil, butter, margarine, shortening or lard. Try it and see if it works. It probably will give it a lot more density. I don't know about the moisture.
NO, that will NOT work.
i'm not sure, but why not just do a cream cheese pound cake?
