Its hard for people who is on dialysis. When they go through the treatment they get weak and need to do something to make themselves happy. He will gradually get tire of dialysis and want to die. You can't change him,already miserable just being on dialysis.
My son God mother decided after two treatments that she was not going back for dialysis because she didn't like how it made her so sick and she eventally died not long after making her decision.
I know you probably love him a lot but let him do what he wants to do. However, I agree with you in trying to get him to change his diet, but you can take a horse to the water but you can't make him drink it.

It's just quite impossible to change someone's attitude towards life, espl. of a friend.But u can always give it a try before giving up. Some people have a tendency to eat more when they are depressed or emotionally disturbed. Yr friend might be going through something of that sort. See if u can take him to a counsellor or psychologist who might help him out with things. U might need to change the way u advise him about his eating habits. Good luck...
YOU CAN'T CHANGE HIM.
you can't fix him.
you can't nag him into changing.
You can do things that would be good for him and invite him to come with you.
You can also tell him that you care whether he lives or dies.
you cannot change anyone you can only voice your opinion. and maybe he needs just support and someone to listen to him more than anything else.
